Dr. Amber Treaster
Dr. Amber Treaster was raised in Marine City, Michigan, where she graduated Valedictorian from Marine City High School. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She continued to graduate with honors from the College of Podiatric Medicine at Chicago Medical School, earning her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM).
She completed a three-year podiatric surgical residency in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The training was inclusive of exposure in all areas of foot and ankle surgery, including forefoot and rearfoot reconstructive procedures.
Dr. Treaster has been living in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, since 2007, where she happily practices podiatric medicine with her husband, Dr. Daniel Yarmel, another proud member of the FASMA (Foot and Ankle Specialists of the Mid-Atlantic) team!
She is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. She is Board Certified in both Foot Surgery and Reconstructive/Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
In her spare time, Dr. Treaster loves spending time with her husband, Dr. Yarmel, and their two young children traveling, playing sports, and enjoying the outdoors.
Dr. Treaster enjoys all aspects of foot and ankle care, with a compassionate ear towards the challenges of dealing with a foot and ankle problem in today’s busy world.
